This is my favorite way to prepare my favorite cut of steak, rib eye.
A few hours before cooking, I pour bourbon over each steak. About half a shot per steak. Then sprinkle with salt and whole black pepper corns. Place them in a sealed plastic bag or in a container and let them marinate.
Then broil or grill to desired temperature (mine is medium rare). And just in the last minute or so, top with sliced gruyere cheese so it is just melted across the top. It's fabulous!
