As I mentioned in my review of In Fine Spirits, Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood sports a distillery Koval one of only two in Illinois. Most of what they produce are clear spirits, like eau de vies. So when I tell you to use their rye, don't think that it's the brown bourbon-like liquor that you're used to seeing.
 | 3 oz Koval rye spirit |
 | Dash of Vermouth |
Shake ingredients with ice. Strain into a Martini glass, and serve with a lemon twist.
