The French might drink Pernod while waiting for the quiche, but the licorice taste is a bit much for our palates. On the other hand, and like many other things, it is much improved by a bit of gin and a splash of lemon juice.

2 ounces Gin

1 ounce Pernod
|
 |
A squeeze of fresh lemon juice
|
Shake well over ice. Pour into a martini glass.
